My daughter was SO excited to receive ELENA AND THE SECRET OF AVALOR by Craig Gerber and Catharine Hapka; Illustrated by Grace Lee.      Princess Elena is Disney’s newest crown princess!   She is from the kingdom of Avalor and has been magically trapped inside an enchanted amulet, waiting for another princess to set her free.

The fable has diverse Latin and Hispanic culture influences.  Princess Elena is a brave and adventurous teenager who saves her kingdom from an evil sorceress and must learn to rule as a crown princess until she is old enough to be a queen.  Elena’s journey will lead her to understand that her new role requires thoughtfulness, resilient and compassion, the traits of all truly great leaders.

Addelyn favorite part of the story was when Princess Elena was set free from the amulet and took over the her kingdom!
