Everyone loves a birth story!
After being a frequent flyer in triage (not exaggerating) I finally got upgraded to a birthing suit. Thank God!! The walk of shame out of triage back home is humiliating!
After weeks of contractions they were FINALLY putting me in true labor. I labored at home for 5 hours. The contractions were all over the place. Anywhere between 2 minutes and 8 minutes apart. I didn’t know if I should go in or not but I couldn’t handle the pain any longer. Unfortunately when I went into triage I was only dilated to a 2. Thankfully, my contractions were out of control and I was right at 39 weeks so my doctor admitted me. I walked for 45 minutes and got my epidural.
My contractions weakened post epidural so I had some pitocin and got some rest. A few hours later the doctor came in to break my water and it was basically a done deal. Baby came 20 minutes later. Just a two rounds of pushes and out HE came.
We didn’t know if we were having a boy or girl. Although I had a strong feeling it was a boy, it was still such a fun surprise!
Peyton Christopher was born 4/6. Weighed 7lbs5oz and 19″long.
The big kids are so in love! And being a mom of four of these sweethearts is such a blessing!
Eric and I enjoyed a ‘date night’ in the hospital with sushi and a movie.
And then off we went home! To welcome sweet Peyton to crazy family of SIX!
