Mini Babybel generously provided me with product, a $50 movie gift card, fort building kit, board game and a sweepstakes entry for this posts. All thoughts and opinions are 100% mine- we don’t share what we don’t love.
Life after Disney has been a bit blah. We’ve been sick, the kids are feeling a little bored (winter definitely isn’t helping) and it’s weird not having a count down to vacation. Mini Babybel came to the rescue and sent us a kit to fill our weekend with fun and games- literally!
We kicked off last weekend with a trip to the movies. The kids have been loving the Kung Fu Panda shorts on Netfilx so we knew they like the “panda’s movie”. This was Jack’s first movie theater experience and only Layla’s second so we weren’t really sure what to expect…they were all smiles before the show:
Layla was set from the start- she had her huge bag of popcorn, a juice and M&Ms.
Jack was not so sure. Bryan and I took turns standing with him outside of the theater BEGGING him to come in. He hated the previews and “wanted to get out of here” as fast as possible. Once the movie started and he saw a few characters he recognized, he settled down and agreed to sit down on Daddy’s lap with a giant bag of M&Ms.
Two bathroom breaks, the M&Ms and a juice box later- he was find sitting in his own seat. When the movie was over he talked about how much he “loved the movies”. I really can’t wait to take them to another show!
We busted out our Discovery Kids fort building kit the next morning. I’ve never seen one of these- it comes with plenty of poles and connectors to help your kids make any structure they could imagine.
Of course we had to build a train first.
Then Daddy helped them build an igloo structure. Add a fun sheet and you have a super cool fort!
Layla has been really competitive lately so we busted out Sorry for the first time. I forgot how fun this game was, and how angry it can make a person become when you get knocked off the board.
Don’t let the smiles fool you this was a hardcore match – every woman for herself.
Jack thought it was hilarious when the “Sorry” card was drawn. I think we discovered his evil laugh.
We finished game time with dinner and, of course, some delicious Mini Babybel cheese. The kids get the biggest kick out of the cute little “present” cheese. They like to unwrap it like a gift…
And act like it’s a major surprise that cheese is inside.
We can’t wait to see what next weekend brings! Thanks for making this one so fun Mini Babybel!
