Layla turned 6 at the end of December which means it was time to bust out the yellow shirt. It feels like we just did this, this year has just absolutely flown by.
Thanks to being exhausted from the holidays and her birthday, she wasn’t as into doing these this year. So I bribed her with a piece of gum. It worked beautifully until I looked through the photos and realized she looks like a chipmunk in half of them.
The shirt is obviously still big on her but she had an easier time holding it up this year. It didn’t fall off her shoulders as easily and her arms are longer. She told me she could roll up the sleeves so “it would look like it fits”…no girlfriend! The shirt needs to be big for a long time. 🙂
I think this will be the official yellow shirt “entry”. She posed almost every single photo on her own but this is one I just took quickly because her brother was trying to belly flop on my head from behind me. It’s always the unexpected ones that are my favs!
And here we are- 18 months to 6 years in my silly yellow shirt. Man I love this girl and our little tradition!
