It’s my favorite time of the year! Happy Halloween! This year has been a little different for us, usually I have the kids’ costumes picked out and done by the end of summer (I know, I know…) but the move messed us up and I had to throw something together last minute. And by last minute I mean in September. ;o)
I DID ask the kids what they wanted to be this year way back in July. Layla wanted to be a wicked witch, Jack wanted to be a ghost. EXCELLENT! I was SO excited because we’ve been doing sibling costumes for the last 2 years and it just breaks my heart to think that they wouldn’t want to coordinate anymore. A witch and a ghost were close enough…I was getting one more year of cute coordinated outfits.
Until we tried to make Jack a ghost costume and he said he was “too scared”. Once again, my children continue the trend of being TOTAL OPPOSITES. Layla loooooves to be scared. My sweet Jack (which I should mention is named after Jack Skellington, The Pumpkin King) is scared of his own tiny shadow.
My king of fright didn’t want to be a ghost- here that sound? It’s my heart breaking. Then he said he wanted to be “a robot”. If they can’t have coordinating costumes, someone is going as a Star Wars character. I found a sweet deal on a Storm Trooper costume and called it a robot. Don’t judge.
So here are the Barton kids’ annual Halloween pictures. 🙂
Stay wicked and let the force be with you. Happy Halloween guys!
