We hit some major milestones in our house this past month. We shipped my son off to kindergarten and my daughter off to preschool.
Grayden started kindergarten last month. This was a HUGE deal for me!! He was off on a big adventure. He went into a classroom with almost 3 times as many kids that were in his preschool classroom. Off to the pressure of academics and peers. And I can’t protect him anymore. I had to trust I did a really good job to send him into the “real world”. Now thankfully he is only in school half days so I still get him for lunch and the afternoons. Next year will be a whole blog post on how I am missing him all. day. long.
Grayden was so nervous the first few days of school. The parents got to walk with the kids into the gym to line up with their class. After that we had to do the normal drop off. I was so scared he was going to get lost. Thankfully, my neighbors little girls who are in first grade walk him by his classroom each morning.
We got so blessed with the kindergarten teachers. They are all wonderful!! We are so excited he loves his teacher!
And our sweet baby girl started preschool! She was SO. EXCITED to go to school. She didn’t even turn around to say goodbye as she skipped into the classroom. Needless to say, she LOVES preschool!
And for the record–girls indulge SO much more information about their school day than boys do!!!
I am looking forward to all the kids learn in school this year and getting into a routine!
