Here we are in the most magical place, Walt Disney World.
Packing to get here was not an easy task!
We took FOUR suitcases for our family of FOUR. At first I tried squeezing us all into 2. But things we “might” need were not fitting and I really wanted to be over prepared instead of buying things I wish I would have packed.
We were going to be gone for 6 nights and 7 days. The weather has been all over the place…low of mid-50’s and high of 85. I knew I was going to need lots of layers!
My Packing List:
1 outfit for each person per day PLUS 2 sweatshirts PLUS a few pairs of lightweight pants to throw under the stroller PLUS comfy walking shoes. And…princess dresses for the princess, as well as her a crown and magic wand, Mickey Mouse crown for the prince, and LOTS of snacks for the hotel room and throughout the day (the snacks took up 1/2 of one suitcase!) PLUS toiletries (always takes up 1/2 of a suitcase!….girl needs to tame her frizzy hair with lots of products!), and I bought little gifts to leave in the hotel room each day from “tinker bell”, so they were crammed in every spare crevasse.
The night before we left I realized I didn’t have any maternity shorts. 80 degrees in pants does NOT sound like fun. Living in Chicago in February means NO shorts are going to be out at the stores yet!
TG Target had just put out their booty shorts in the Junior Department. I had to get an XXL size…but that was okay since I got a pair that fit comfortably! (As long as I don’t bend down so my rear hangs out.)
The kids did AWESOME on the plane and we were SO excited to make it to 80 degree weather!
We met up with my parents for dinner and then straight to bed.
Day 1: Magic Kingdom
They were a bit overwhelmed at first since they have never been to ANYPLACE like this before. But, soon loosened up and enjoyed the magic!
Day 2: Hollywood Studios
A could NOT believe Sophia twirled her, smiled at her, AND danced with her.
G loved meeting Jake!! and the Toy Story ride was the kids favorite! My dad and Eric enjoyed The Tower of Terror and The Rock and Roll. (I would show you the picture of them but they may kill me)
E and I got to enjoy a night out to dinner while the kids swam with my parents and then we have 3 more days of Disney Magic!!
