In keeping with this week’s theme of preparing for fall family photos, we thought we’d share a few tips of what NOT to do:
When deciding your family’s coordinating outfits, please stay away from using all the same color-
or too many different colors…
Also, if you pull out the exact same outfit out of your closet that your husband is wearing…throw your version of the outfit away. Maybe burn it. And if your daughter has the same outfit…submit your entire family to “What Not to Wear” and let Stacy and Clinton help you for God sake.
When deciding on posing, keep the safety of your children in mind. Silly butterfingers…
You might also want to keep your butts to yourselves.
And try to keep recreating childhood pictures to a minimum. Your “baby boy” isn’t in diapers anymore and he can hold his own juice box.
Try to refrain from showing too much skin. If something doesn’t sound like a good idea, then it probably isn’t a good idea. For example, “Hey Jill, why don’t you hike your tattooed foot on your tattooed father’s neck”. No. Just don’t.
Excessive PhotoShop is not a good idea. Neither are outfits like this, hair cuts like this, posing like this…basically don’t look like this. Ever.
When applying makeup or effects to a photo…steer clear of purple. Unless you want to look like an extra in “The Walking Dead”.
