It doesn’t matter if you breastfeed, exclusively pump, or give your baby formula…someone is going to tell you you are doing it wrong.
I’ve seen a ton of blogs out there talk about breastfeeding. They give tons of encouragement, tips and tricks and support to breastfeeding Mommies out there. All wonderful things but I can’t help but scroll down to the comments and see tons of women bashing each other because some gave their babies formula or some nursed until their kid was 3.
Let’s not forget that motherhood is rough, especially in those first months. You doubt yourself on every decision, big or small.
Why can’t we encourage each other? Let’s share our personal experiences and how things work for us…but is it so hard to accept that not everyone is going to do things the same way?
We are doing an entire series on breastfeeding because we nursed our kids. We know how frustrating it can be. We know how just a little encouragement can take us from being ready to quit to back in the game. And we know that as soon as you think you’ve got things figured out, your baby or body throws a curve ball and you need to frantically Google why you are bleeding from your nipples at 3 am. We totally get it.
But we’d love to hear from those of you that didn’t nurse for whatever reason. We want to be able to support and encourage all you Mommas out there!
