Hiding Christmas presents isn’t something I’ve had to worry about yet. My oldest will be 3 right after Christmas so she doesn’t really even get that Mommy had to shop, hide and wrap all these gifts…they just appear under the tree and look pretty until Christmas day. I know the day will come soon enough were she’ll be sneaking through the house trying to get a peek of the goods. This got me thinking- where does everyone else hide their kids’ presents?
The Griswold’s hid their’s in the attic:
I’ve heard of some people hiding gifts actually IN their kids’ own rooms! I guess the top shelf in their closet would be the last place they’d look if they were really trying to find presents.
Rooms that typically come with chores seem to be good places- laundry room, utility rooms, sheds and garages. Even better- get a huge box and label it “cleaning supplies” and your kids won’t go near it! This Mom strategically placed a “garbage bag” full of pillows for her kids next to the cans.
If you are lucky enough to be close to family or your neighbors, you could always “rent” a space for a month at their house. Just make sure Grandpa isn’t tempted to open that Wii and start bowling.
Where does your family hide “the goods”?
