I should leave this post at just that.
I’m a SAHM…Will you be my friend??
True story. I am one of those girls.
I will talk to anyone, anywhere, about anything.
I know the cashiers at the grocery store by name and ask them about their kids. (They kind of look at me funny, like how the heck do you know about my kids??? Obviously they don’t remember we are FRIENDS.)
At the gym, I make friends with the lady on the stair master next to me, with the teacher of my Latin Fusion class, and the nice lady who folds the towels. How do I make friends? I talk. A lot. (oh geez, here comes that SAHM again….run)
I make the librarians cookies. I talk to them about their grand babies, what they are having for dinner, and if they have read any good books lately.
If someone asks me, “How are you?” I cannot stop at ‘fine‘. I feel like it may be my ONE chance to talk to an adult that day.
I scroll through my phone and wonder: Who is home today?? Who can I talk to to?? Who can I text???
Sometimes when driving in the car I find myself having a conversation with myself. I am completely enjoying this conversation with myself until my 3 year old interrupts with, “Mommy, who are you talking to??” (oops…)
